Salam Ramadhan dan MERDEKAAAAA....!!!
Hiii....good evening ladies and gentlemen. This is Inong Puteri with the headline news. As Ramadhan is flowing together with our Independence Day on August, 17th,2011. We have some various stories.
On Wednesday of 17th is also the 17th days of this fasting month. My home is in the downtown area of Yogyakarta. Usually we have some party on this special day. But due to fasting month, we only make some small party at our home with all neighbours. But it was so nice & simple party.
Our maid, Miss Mariyah from a village of Mt.Sumbing was very happy when my daughter gave her a glass of a fruit coktail. But she complained to me then "Mam, why your daughter would give me KUTIL for my fasting break-drink ? "
I said to Mbak Mar that my daughter would gave her a glass of COCKTAIL NOT KUTIL, as she heard. In bahasa, kutil means skin decease likes vitilligo. And she looked so confuse to pronounces between cocktail and kutil. My daughter and my mom laughed very loud at the dinning room. They had listened my hot debate conversation with Miss Mariah in the kitchen, after fasting break time. Miss Mariah still argueing me !!!
" Mam , this is not KoKKK...what did U say just now ? KoKKK what ? These are FRUITS, Mam...You know what ?! Mam, Buah is FRUIT IN ENGLISH, not cocktail ! Your Daughter was wrong to mention it, not me...,Mam "
" Yessss, Mariyah Darliiiiing...., Buah is Friut in English. But Buah mixed with ice cubes n syroop are called cocktail. Got it Darling ?
